I love olives...any kind of olives..... BUT, my favorvite olive is the good old green olive. I guess I like them the best because that was the only one my mom bought when I was young and living at home.
We always have olives on the table for our family dinners...but I can't put them on the table too soon because my daughters will eat them all up before we would sit down and eat dinner.

Yesterday was my last outdoor show for the 2007 season (I hope!).
It was the Annual Fall Festival sponsored by the Sayville Chamber of Commerce, Sayville, LI, NY. It was a beautiful autumn day with hundreds of people with their families, of which none were interested in buying art.
All the artist were disappointed. At one point of the day I was thinking of purchasing an "Apple Puff" truck and sell apple puff's and fried oreo's they had lines of people waiting to purchase their puffs all day.
Putting all kidding and complaining aside I did sell five small pieces toward the end of the day. For which I am very thankful for.
I now can settle down and start working on my daily paintings again. I miss doing them.
I will not be posting any daily paintings for a while. I am getting prepared for my last outside show for the year. I am working on a few unfinished paintings and sprucing up a few others. I have a lot of framing and matting that needs to be done, also, of course, I still have to go to work everyday (work just gets in the way, doesn't it?)
"ALONE" is a pen and ink and watercolour painting. It is 5x7 with an 8x10 mat.
I am getting ready to do two art shows over the next few weeks. I have been doing these exercise p&i daily as well as framing and matting my paintings for the show. This week end I will be at the Roanoka Vineyard.
The original Martini recipe called for one-half dry gin and one-half dry vermouth. This proportion began to change in the early 40's to two or three parts dry gin to one part dry vermonth. Today, popular proportions for an Extra Dry Martini range from 5-to-1 to an 8-to-1 ratio. The greater the proportion of gin to vermouth, the "drier" the Martini.

In my profile I wrote, "I do not have a fancy studio" and as you can see I don't!!!!
Welcome to my living room.
Christmas time the tree goes up in the front window and we sit in the living room a few hours a night from December 23 to January 1. The tree comes down and we don't sit in the room until we have a party or the next holiday that we having at our home.
The only one that has taken advantage of this sunny, bright room is Bonnie , our Scotty. She has two wing- back chairs that she sits in and looks out of the front window, watching and protecting her love ones.
I have plans to keep my studio in this room because of the wonderful light we have in it most of the day and I can also see what's going on in my hood durning the day.
I could be in here for days and no one in the family would know I'm here because they never come in here.
How great is that?????
Stay tuned , improvements are in the planning stage.
I love my veggies!!!!!! If I didn't love a nice juicy steak more I could be a vegetarian.
